WEST MOUNTAIN RACING’S 2020/2021 EVENT LISTING: TO BE ANNOUNCED
MONDAY NIGHT RACING (ALL AGES)
Race like you mean it! Unleash your inner Mikaela Shiffrin! Try out racing gates with your friends and/or your family on Monday nights, under the lights, for your chance to win prizes from local ski shops, breweries and more. No previous race experience required, all ages and experience levels welcome.
Registration begins at 5pm and ends at 6:45pm at the front desk.
$10 per person plus a valid lift ticket or pass.
Race starts on the face at 7 pm.
Awards follow in the West Mountain Bar & Eatery immediately after the race.

West Mountain Racing invites you to join the 2020/2021 team. Lead by Alpine Race Director Steve Lathrop and Program Director Sara Montgomery. WMR Program registration is now open and closes Nov. 1st. If you wish to join the team after Nov. 1st, please contact Program Director Sara Montgomery at email@example.com. A $200 late fee will be applied to all WMR program registrations after Nov. 1st. Intro to Race registration closes January 1, 2021 or once 24 registrants have enrolled.
In the winter, West Mountain Racing offers:
- WMR academy program for advanced u12-u19 racers (new in 2020/2021!)
- WMR club full team program
- Midweek only program
- Weekend only program
- Intro to racing 6-week program
- Open ski camps
- Friday club
- Premier alpine racing training venue
- Premier race tuning venue
- Premier alpine racing race venue with state-of-the-art Montana tuning machine

WMR’s Alpine Program trains on-snow beginning weekends in November at Whiteface and/or Killington until West opens in December and training continues until March/April. Off-season camps, Summer and fall fitness opportunities are also offered.
In the summer, WMR offers: Summer Conditioning Camps (July and August), Summer Ski Camps at Mt. Hood (July and August), premier mountain biking training venue, premier mountain biking race venue, on-site team lodging. Please email email@example.com to book training or races at west
WEST MOUNTAIN RACING (WMR)’s Mission (ALPINE) is to develop and educate young ski racers in order to help them achieve their dreams, aspirations and goals both on and off the snow. WMR’s program offers a premier alpine ski racing, training, teaching, coaching and race tuning venue for success in ski racing as well as other areas of character such as work ethic and sportsmanship.
WMR welcomes USSA and HS Ski Team athletes to join our program. Rates and privileges apply to all members.

WMS, West Mountain’s 501(c) (3), Federal Tax ID # 75-3173928, plays a multifaceted roll engaging in fundraising and promotion of ski racing at West Mountain, providing many of the supporting elements such as safety and technical equipment, financial scholarships, and fostering a sense of community and volunteer service. WMS believes a child who participates in athletics is more likely to be happy and healthy while becoming well-rounded and acquiring many skills and disciplines that will allow her/him to realize their goals and dreams throughout their lifetime.

Financial Assistance Program:
If you are interested in a WMR membership for your child and cannot make the financial commitment at this time or have multiple children in the program or have been recommended by a coach for an ability-based scholarship and would like to apply for scholarship, please fill out the application and return it to Sara Montgomery or any WMS Board Member at West Mountain. Scholarships applications are due by October 1, 2020 and will be awarded in mid to late October and will be good for the 2020/2021 season. The application can be found here. If you are a current WMR racer and wish to be considered for a scholarship, you must be in full compliance with WMR’s Code of Conduct.
