Update: With the development project on the horizon, we have decided not to offer daily summer activities in summer 2026. Picnic packages, however, are available during the Fall Festival (Oct. 11, 12, 17, 18, 24 and 25 and for group bookings of 25 people or more May-October. Great for birthday parties, team building, fundraisers and more! Please contact group sales at westmountain.com today for booking. Daily activities will return in the near future.

Description: What’s better than some fresh air and a mountaintop picnic at West Mountain--Open Only for Groups and during Fall Festival in Summer/Fall of 2026. West Mountain’s popular Mountaintop Picnic Packages include a scenic chair ride to the top of the mountain complete with a picnic lunch packaged beautifully in a picnic basket. Enjoy picnicking at one of the many scenic picnic locations while taking in the stunning views of the Adirondack and Vermont mountains and the Hudson River Valley region. Picnickers can also hike on our mixed-use trails.

Fall Festival Picnic Menu Options offered in October (7+)

• Turkey sandwich on white bread with lettuce and tomato, a slice of pumpkin or apple pie, a bag of chips, and a bottle of water beautifully packaged in a picnic basket.
• Charcuterie with an assortment of meats, cheeses, grapes and crackers, a slice of pumpkin or apple pie, and a bottle of water beautifully packaged in a picnic basket.

Regular Picnic Menu Options offered June-September (7+)

• Vegetable wrap (gluten free) – Peppers, Carrots, Cucumbers, Lettuce and Tomato with an herbed cream cheese or hummus.
• Turkey and Cheddar Sandwich – Roasted turkey, local cheddar, with lettuce and tomato
• Honey Ham and Swiss Sandwich – Honey ham, local Swiss cheese, with lettuce and tomato
• Roast beef and Cheddar Sandwich – Roast beef, aged cheddar with lettuce and tomato
• PB&J – Strawberry jam with peanut butter
• Lunches come with a sandwich (see above), a bag of chips, a cookie, and a bottled water

• Book in advance
• Children must be old enough to sit up next to an adult on the chairlift
• All lunches are prepared daily in-house by our executive chef. Basket return is located at the front desk.

**Beginning in 22-23, we will be charging an RFID card fee. There will be an additional replacement fee if the card is lost, stolen, etc. Please make sure to have your RFID card on you to access the lift. RFID cards can be reloaded online at westmountain.com for future visits.
