After School Programs

West Mountain has been making kids happy while teaching them to learn to ski and snowboard with their school friends since 1961. Our After School Programs begin Jan. 3, 2024 and run for 6 weeks (not including holiday break weeks), and all participating schools come one day a week on their designated day of the week. 23-24 Program Registration Closes 12/15 without a late fee.

If you already have an RFID card, After School Programs can be purchased HERE.

If your school is not a member of our After School Program and you are interested in learning more, please contact or call 518-636-3699 ext. 0. We offer a 6-Week program with lesson, rental, and meal plan add-on options at affordable rates (see descriptions below). After School Program members also receive additional perks including discounted skiing (for additional days of skiing outside of program), tubing and summer tickets, plus discounts on rentals and merchandise.

Please Read over our Mountain Safety Guidelines for Winter Here before your child or children begin their program.

Program for Season Pass holders (with verification by calling the front desk or by inputting your season pass number at checkout): Includes all the After School Program perks including discounted tubing tickets, discounted ski tickets, discounted adventure park tickets, discounted rentals and more! Please note there is a nominal registration fee for 2023-2024 season passholders. The RFID card fee does not apply for valid season passholders.

Program with Lift Access for Non-Season Passholders: Includes a program pass for the chosen weekday (non-holiday), and can be used on that day for the length of the 6-week program from 3:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. If children choose to ski prior to 3:00 p.m. or on snow days they must purchase a discounted ticket. Additional ticket information can be found on the flyer. Includes all the After School Program perks including discounted tubing tickets, discounted ski tickets, discounted adventure park tickets, discounted rentals and more!

Add A Lesson: We recommend all After School Program participants enroll in lessons to advance their skills. Lessons involve a 1-hour group session where skiers and riders are grouped by age & ability. Skiers & snowboarders of all levels will have 6 weeks to learn to ski and snowboard while meeting new friends. A lesson is a great way to start things off.

Add Rentals: Our Rental shop, located at West Mountain, offers two types of rental options:

  1. Season-long rentals that you keep at home for the season and can use anywhere, and

  2. Six-week rentals that you keep at West which can be used during your program.

All renters will need to visit West Mountain Sports (across the courtyard from the Main Lodge) to be fitted for your equipment ahead of the season. Seasonal renters should register for the program and stop in soon after purchase to be fitted for equipment to take home and keep for the season. Rental Prefit Dates are available HERE

Add A Meal Plan: The Meal Plan includes 6 meals to be redeemed during your child’s program time and day of the week. Each student has the option to choose one from the following:

  • ½ sandwich

  • Cup of soup or chili

  • Popcorn chicken

  • Hamburger

  • Hot dog

  • Grilled cheese

  • Slice of pizza

Students can also add a small salad or fries as well as add a small fountain drink or milk.

Registration for all West Mountain programs close on December 15th, or when the program is full. Registration requests after December 15th are subject to a $15 late registration fee and are dependent on availability.

Please note: We do not issue refunds for program fees unless a medical condition occurs before January 1st, 2024. If a child can't ski due to medical reasons, a letter from a doctor is required for verification.

Prices may be subject to tax.

West Mountain products cannot be resold, transferred or refunded.

* Beginning in 22-23, all new Program participants will be charged an RFID card fee. There will be an additional replacement fee if the card is lost, stolen, etc. Participants will need their RFID card to access the lift.
